BALTIC SSF

The BALTIC SSF machine, produces case ready "leak proof" pack for meat and poultry products in trays, using an Stretch Shrink film (like Cryovac® SES film).

This machine can also be used to produce a MAP “Case Ready” pack using Shrink Barrier
film (like Cryovac® BDF film).
The final result is a tightly wrapped leak proof case-ready pack with superb aesthetics.

The state of the art electronic technology applied together with the latest development in packaging technologies, added to ULMA’s more than 50 year experience in packaging machinery has turn into the ideal entry level packaging machine for “leak proof” and MAP applications.

  • Electronic packaging machine powered with independent motors synchronised by a motion control system.
  • Machine is built on a stainless steel frame in a cantilever execution, to avoid dirt and dust accumulation and allowing an optimum cleaning and hygiene.
  • Stretching forming box that stretches the film around the tray and forms a tight bag around the product.
  • The longitudinal seal is created by a set of sealing and pulling rollers, and it has been specifically designed to obtain hermetic seals with barrier films.
  • Cross sealing station provided with an over-pressure system designed to obtain hermetic seals when using barrier films.
  • Reel holder with a self centring fastening system and motorized system for the unwinding of the film.
  • In-feed conveyor 2 meters long fully made in stainless steel and designed for easy cleaning.
  • Gas flushing system.
  • The control panel has a touch screen for the user/machine interface, that allows various parameter setting for each product (bag length, speed, sealing time, etc…).
  • The “No product - No Bag” and “Misplaced product safety” functions are standard in this machine.
  • Different versions are available to work with other types of films (barrier laminates OPA/PE, “Cryovac® BDF” shrink barrier film, ...)
  • Photocell for print registration.
  • Various types of entry level hot air or hot water shrink tunnels.
  • “On line” residual oxygen analyser.
