  • The origins of what is now ULMA PACKAGING date back to 1961, when Talleres ULMA Sociedad Cooperativa Industrial was established.
  • Originally, the company carried out maintenance and auxiliary work for the then thriving local chocolate industry.
  • In 1985, the group was split into two divisions: Construction and Machinery.
  • In 1988, the company changed its direction, with the core business focusing on fresh food.
  • At the start of the 1990s, a proximity strategy was implemented in the international markets by setting up local offices to ensure that we were close to our customers..
  • During that decade, the growing demand for packaged products led to rapid growth and ULMA Packaging established itself as an industry leader.
  • The 90s also saw the development of new markets and the diversification of business lines, such as Flowpack.
  • The 2000s were marked by us setting up subsidiaries abroad, opening premises in Argentina, Mexico, Portugal, the United States, Australia, Russia, Romania and Ukraine, among others.
  • In 2007, we started our stainless steel boiler business (Precinox) and the ULMA Packaging Technological Centre was opened, demonstrating the company's commitment to R&D+i.
  • The company is currently continuing with its internationalisation and growth process, with an annual turnover of more than 200 million euros and a workforce of around 1500 people.
